Pauline Coune is a French attorney dedicated to projects in Maghreb and sub-Saharan Africa.

Before joining Alexander & Partner in January 2018 Pauline Coune worked at the French law firm Adamas in Paris for five years and completed several internships at the International Legal Department of EDF SA in La Défense, a major worldwide energy producer, at the French-German Chamber of Commerce & Industry in Paris, and at Ariathes Rechtsanwälte in Munich among others. She has developed a high proficiency in energy transactions (PPA, EPC, O&M and BoP contracts), legal assistance in bidding processes and in project development issues (analysis of the local regulations, real estate law, permitting, public law, corporate law).

Pauline Coune contributed to the writing of the 2017 World Bank report “Enabling the business of agriculture”, the legal articles “Le nouveau code minier marocain” in Lexis Maroc and “Marchés publics au Maroc: les enjeux des nouvelles clauses administratives générales pour les entrepreneurs” in L’Usine Nouvelle.

Pauline Coune holds a master degree (Master 1) in International and European Law (2006), a Postgraduate Diploma (Master 2) in Diplomacy and Strategic Negotiation (2007) and in International Business Law (2010) from the Nanterre University. She is listed at the Paris Bar since 2014.

Pauline Coune is French, she speaks fluent English, German and Spanish and supports our office from Vienna.
