Andreas Scherdel has extensive experience in advising on project contracts, corporate law, commercial contracts, claims and risk management. His practice focuses on the construction, infrastructure and energy sectors. He also has significant knowledge of accounting and tax issues relating to large-scale projects.

Admitted to practice law in Germany in 1991 and joining the Berlin Bar in 2009, Andreas previously ran his own consultancy firm, advising international companies on project management, legal contract issues, and risk management. He spent nearly 20 years at Siemens, holding various management roles, specializing in energy, transportation, and large-scale EPC contracts worldwide.

His expertise spans legal, commercial, and managerial aspects, including project and interim management, process optimization, and expatriation. Andreas has worked on international projects in regions like Qatar, the UAE, Greece, the Philippines, and Egypt, with a focus on infrastructure, energy, and transportation industries.

Having lived and worked for several years in Southeast Asia and the MENA region, Andreas brings extensive international experience to his practice.

He holds a law degree from Friedrich-Alexander University in Erlangen and is a qualified banker. He speaks German and English and is a member of the “Commercial Project Management” group within the German Association for Project Management (GPM).
