Anna Hankings-Evans

Anna Hankings-Evans studied law at Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg, Bahçeşehir Üniversitesi Istanbul (Turkey) and Free University of Berlin.

After completing her First State Examination in 2013, she worked at the Institute of Public Law and Public International Law at Free University of Berlin. Anna Hankings-Evans wrote her doctoral thesis on bilateral investment treaties between China and African states. As part of her doctorate, Anna Hankings-Evans also completed a comprehensive research stay at the Centre for Chinese Studies at Stellenbosch University (South Africa).

As part of her legal training, Anna Hankings-Evans engaged in a legal traineeship at both the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy and the German Embassy in Accra, Ghana.

At Alexander & Partner she is primarily involved in international commercial and investor- state  arbitration proceedings and advises in the field of international contract and corporate law as well as in the design and implementation of cross-border investment projects with a focus on Africa

Anna Hankings-Evans speaks German, English and French and has a good basic knowledge of Turkish and Twi.
