Following his legal studies in Aix-Marseille Université (France) and Université Gaston Berger (Senegal), Fallou Mbodji is admitted as attorney-at-law to the Paris Bar since January 2021.
With a doctoral thesis on the legal nature of mining titles in OHADA member states, defended in 2018 at Aix-Marseille University, Fallou is a specialist in African mining law and related international business law. He is regularly advising on energy, infrastructure, mining, oil and gas projects, particularly in French-speaking Africa. He is further advising on public-private partnerships and concessions, as well as privatizations and asset acquisitions in the infrastructure and energy sectors and in project financing.
Fallou Mbodji is author of numerous academic publications such as « Equity participation of OHADA member states in the mining companies’ capital in the light of OHADA corporate law », in Revue de Droit des Affaires International (RDAI), no 1, feb. 20203, p. 20. He also published «The financing of mining projects in african mining projects. Legal aspect », Penant (Lextenso), no 913, 2020, p. 434.
In addition to a PhD on mining projects in Africa, Fallou Mbodji holds a postgraduate diploma (DEA) in OHADA law from Gaston Berger University in Saint Louis, Senegal, and a Master II in Economic and Business Law from Aix-Marseille University.
Fallou Mbodji is Senegalese. He is fluent in French and English.
