Dr. Mohamadou Fallou Mbodji

Dr. Fallou Mbodji is a French lawyer, registered with the Paris Bar. He has extensive expertise in international projects in Africa and OHADA law.

Dr. Fallou Mbodji studied law at Aix-Marseille Université (France) and Université Gaston Berger (Senegal) and has been a member of the Paris Bar since January 2021.

He specialized in African mining law and international economic law, completing his doctoral thesis in 2018 at Aix-Marseille University. His research focused on the legal nature of mining titles in OHADA member states. In his professional practice, Dr. Fallou Mbodji advises clients on projects in energy, infrastructure, mining, oil, and gas, with a particular emphasis on French-speaking African countries. He also offers expert guidance on public-private partnerships, concessions, privatizations, asset transfers in the infrastructure and energy sectors, and project financing.

Dr. Fallou Mbodji has authored several academic publications, including the articles “Equity participation of OHADA member states in the capital of mining companies in the light of OHADA corporate law” (Revue de Droit des Affaires International, RDAI, February 2020, p. 20) and “The financing of mining projects in African mining projects. Legal aspect” (Penant, Lextenso, No. 913, 2020, p. 434), which focus on the legal aspects of financing mining projects in Africa.

In addition to his doctoral research on mining projects in Africa, Dr. Fallou Mbodji holds a Postgraduate Diploma (DEA) in OHADA law from Université Gaston Berger in Saint Louis, Senegal, and a Master II in Business and Corporate Law from Aix-Marseille University.

Dr. Fallou Mbodji is originally from Senegal and is fluent in both French and English.
