Vincent Owhor is a Nigerian lawyer specialising in dispute resolution, with extensive experience in complex commercial litigation and domestic and international arbitration. He advises and represents clients from a range of sectors, including oil and gas, banking, telecommunications, and maritime services, as well as in matters of taxation, employment law, and general commercial law.

Vincent Owhor is a partner at Streamsowers & Köhn (SSK), our partner law firm in Nigeria.

His practice covers domestic and international arbitration, as well as representation before Nigeria’s superior courts, including the various State High Courts, the Federal High Court, the National Industrial Court, the Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court. Vincent Owhor has acted in disputes arising from financing transactions, joint ventures, sponsorship agreements, admiralty matters, regulatory issues, and enforcement proceedings. He has also represented clients in judicial review proceedings relating to the National Assembly and the Federal and State Government agencies of Nigeria.

He advises both domestic and multinational clients on high-value, multi-jurisdictional disputes, including matters related to oil exploration and production, shipping and logistics, telecommunications operations, power sector investments, and financial services.

Vincent Owhor holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in International Commercial Arbitration from Stockholm University in Sweden and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the University of Nigeria in Nsukka. After completing his training at the Nigerian Law School, he was called to the Nigerian Bar.

He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, the International Bar Association, the Business Recovery and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria, and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK). He is also a co-author of the Nigeria chapter of The Tax Disputes Litigation Review (11th Edition).
